I am maintaining momentum through exercise, setting priorities, and taking short breaks.
I realize that living the life I desire is a journey, not a sprint, and so I set my goals accordingly. I utilize strategies that can set me up for success while keeping me motivated along the way.
Exercising my body and mind brings me energy for the long haul.
Physical activity keeps me in shape, oxygenates every cell in my body to re-energize them, and keeps my brain sharp. It also produces endorphins, the feel-good hormone, which helps bolster my self-esteem and confidence.
Mental exercises are also important! Just as I physically exercise every day, I also work out my brain to maintain forward momentum. I keep my thoughts and attitudes in shape with daily affirmations for success.
Setting priorities makes for effective time management. I include my goals in my priorities and schedule time every day for tasks that point me toward success.
Taking short breaks rejuvenates me. When I take the time to relax, even for a few minutes, I find that stress melts away and l can re-focus on what I really want to do. I come back to my tasks with renewed energy, passion, and momentum.
These strategies keep me going, moving toward my goals, day in and day out. They help me overcome challenges that try to knock me off my path.
Today, I allow myself the privilege to incorporate these successful strategies into my routine so I can maintain momentum toward my goals.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Do I exercise on a regular basis?
2. Even when life is most hectic, do I take time out for myself?
3. What are my priorities for today? Do they include tasks that move me toward success?
I am at peace because I allow my body to recharge.
When I give my body downtime I am able to recharge and become more centered.
Because I get the rest I need and make relaxation a priority in my life I am abundantly peaceful. My tranquility surrounds my life and I am better able to handle all situations that come my way.
I am recharged when I take time to pursue my hobbies. Even though I am an adult, my playtime is important to me.Taking the time to go on a bike ride down the river trail or going out with friends makes me feel refreshed. I can release any stress that I may have because I can recharge myself.
My body requires rest and sleep to function at its highest potential. That’s why I take care of myself by making sure I get my rest. Resting my body allows my mind to be clear so I can embrace my peaceful state.
Tonight I will take my time in preparing for sleep instead of rushing through my routine. In this way, I can appreciate the process of preparing for rest.
I joyfully slip into my neatly made bed and breathe deeply several times to fully prepare my body for the rest I will receive. As I drift off to sleep I can appreciate the stillness of the room and the stillness of my mind. When I awake, I feel renewed and my day starts off with peace.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Have I taken the time to play?
2. Did I get an appropriate amount of sleep last night?
3. What is my nighttime routine?
Change is healthy. I refuse to get stuck in the same routines.
Just as I know that every day the sun will rise and set in its regular routine, I also know that each new dawn brings tremendous possibilities for change. In nature, no day is exactly like the day before.
In the same way, even when my life seems routine, I realize the potential is there for me to change whatever I desire.
It is healthy for my mind and spirit to change every day routines. Change keeps my mind sharp and my spirit energized. When I need to complete the same tasks day after day, I can still accomplish them in different ways so I can avoid getting into a rut.
For example, my daily household chores can be done in any order I choose, so I change the order around each day. Some days I dance while I do them and other days I sing. Sometimes I listen to classical music and other times I rock out!
Mindless chores also give me the chance to think through new ideas and create action plans for achieving my goals. After all, do I really need to think about garbage when I take out the trash? Do I really need to focus on dirt when I vacuum?
I realize that the only way I can get stuck in the same routines and stagnate is if I allow myself to do so. It is so easy to spice up the mundane, all I have to do is take swift action!
When life gets boring, I can expand my knowledge instead of watching TV. I can learn a new hobby, practice a new skill, or go on an adventure. Each of these changes sparks new passions and opens up even more opportunities for further fulfillment.
Today, I see life as different from any day that has come before. I can grab hold of any opportunities I may have missed because I am willing to be adaptable.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Do I feel stuck in my routines?
2. What actions can I take to change them?
3. What exciting adventure can I plan for my next day off?
I pray to bring total healing to my body, mind, and soul. Praying brings a holistic aspect to my life.
Total healing is important to me because my body is not the only part of me that needs healing. My mind and spirit needs attention as well. Praying helps me heal all areas of my life: mind, body, and soul.
I like to feel complete and balanced. If I only heal parts of myself, I am not balanced. Praying helps bring holistic balance to my life.
My body is important; it propels me through life. My mind is important; it is the matrix on which I live. My spirit is important; it is my purpose. Each part is as important as the other.
Prayer heals my mind by providing a listening ear. It heals my soul by helping me realize I have an ever-present connection with a higher power. Prayer heals my body when I ask my higher power to help with my strength and recovery.
When I pray, I relieve my stress, which helps heal my mind, body, and soul.
Prayer is an excellent way for me to heal all areas of my life. The more I realize that prayer is an important aspect of healing holistically, the more I am able to heal my mind, body, and soul.
I know that my life is a balancing act, yet today I will remember to pray so I can continue to enjoy total healing.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. How does prayer help me?
2. How does prayer affect my mind, body, and soul?

I reclaim my health by taking care of myself today.
Now that I am adult, I am responsible for my own health. In order to reclaim it, I sometimes need to go back and parent myself into a healthier lifestyle. There are many things I can do, even today, to help myself along.
First of all, I recognize that what I put into my body affects my energy level, stamina, and productivity, not to mention my ability to stay healthy.
I choose to give my body foods that provide fuel and nutrients rather than empty calories that simply pack on pounds that I don’t need.
I also make exercise a priority. I have let go of idea that I have to be either a master athlete or a couch potato. It’s perfectly acceptable for me to be somewhere in between.
While gym memberships and structured exercise programs can be valuable tools, I can be healthy without them by making a few minor changes to my lifestyle. Walking or biking to work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and engaging in outdoor play with my children are all excellent forms of exercise. Any movement is good for my body.
Lastly, I make sure to respect my body’s need for rest. I have a set time when my day is done. The vast majority of the time, whatever is unfinished can be picked up the following morning.
I have let go of the idea that I need to pack as much into each day as possible. Instead, I keep an eye on the big picture because I know that pacing myself and getting the rest I need will enable me to reach my peak productivity level.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Do my food choices enhance or inhibit my productivity?
2. Do I create opportunities to exercise?
3. Am I allowing myself enough rest?
Letting go cleanses my body, mind, and spirit.
Letting go is a freeing process to renew myself. The old me is buried when I release my inhibitions and awaken anew. There are many things in my life of which I must let go in order to free myself for the blessings in store for me.
I let go of all anxiety and stress to cleanse my mind. When I let go of my worries, I enjoy peace of mind and serenity in my soul. I am liberated when I surrender control because my mind is free from tension’s contamination.
I let go of the emotional wounds of my past so I may cleanse my spirit. No matter what is behind me, I move forward to a better day. I block out evil thoughts and replace them with faith and trust. And I know my present and future holds the best days of my life.
In order to cleanse my body, I examine my diet and make adjustments where necessary. I cut out fatty and unhealthy foods and I eat vegetables and foods rich in vitamins and nutrients. My body is free from drugs and other toxins. My lungs are free from smoke. I enjoy breathing fresh air.
Cleansing helps me enjoy my life to the fullest. I cleanse to fill myself with things of value. I add healthy habits to my life so I may improve my body. I add clarity and perspective to improve my mind. I add peace of mind and strength to improve my spirit.

My choice to be healthy includes eating nutritious foods. When I have a choice between picking up fast food and having a healthy meal, I opt for the healthy option. To make this easier, I plan ahead and freeze leftovers so there is always healthy food in the freezer to heat and eat on those harried days.
I make it a point to exercise every day. Even if I don’t have time for a workout, I stay active and make healthy choices. I take the stairs instead of the elevator. When I go shopping, I park further out in the parking lot. I play active games with my kids and pets and go for pleasant walks with my family and neighbors.
My joyful and adventurous attitude helps me feel vibrant. I pray or meditate every day to inspire and motivate me. I practice positive self-talk and repeat positive affirmations to banish negative thoughts and feelings. I venture out of my comfort zone to take on new adventures with gusto.
